My Story
_edited.jpg)
I am a proud citizen of the Penobscot Nation, and my story is deeply shaped by the traditions and community that raised me. Growing up on a small reservation in Maine, I learned early on the importance of creativity, resilience, and connection—whether through art, basket making, or simply the way people showed up for one another. Those experiences continue to influence both my life and my work.
I went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree from Kent State University, which opened the door to a career as a consultant with the Department of Defense. In that role, I focused on improving safety for cruise ships and passenger aircraft—work that was both challenging and meaningful.
After stepping away from my career to raise my family, I found myself drawn in a new direction. I transitioned into the architectural field, working with local architects in the Camden area for the last 10 years. This path has allowed me to blend my technical experience with my appreciation for thoughtful design and community-centered spaces.
At every stage of my journey, I’ve carried with me the values I grew up with—respect for tradition, care for others, and a belief in building things that last, whether they are structures, relationships, or community.
